Science
Dunsville Primary uses the National Curriculum 2014 and EYFS 2020 as a basis for its teaching. Science is taught using the Primary Knowledge Curriculum (PKC). There are 6 science themes taught across the each academic year. A Science Long Term Plan is in place to accommodate the mixed age classes and to ensure the children’s scientific learning is appropriate and sequential. Scientific investigations are incorporated into units of work. Each unit of science has 6 or more progressive lesson plans, knowledge organisers with focus vocabulary to be understood and applied in context and a multiple choice quiz to assess key knowledge at the end of each unit.
