Child Protection

The safety of our pupils and staff is paramount and we aim to be as vigilant as possible when dealing with safeguarding and child protection issues. It is important that parents realise we have a legal (and moral) duty to ensure national and local child protection procedures are followed. Parents need to be aware that in certain circumstances we have no choice but to involve Children’s Services if we feel there is strong evidence to suggest a child may be in danger. In most cases this would be discussed with parents but in rare cases we may have to go direct to Children’s Services without informing parents.
